Since the commencement of VDHP, we have assisted doctors and medical students presenting with numerous issues ranging from those having a mild impact on quality of life to those threatening careers and lives. VDHP deals with each individual case on its merits and offers a range of interventions.

A Support Group for Doctors with Substance Use Issues
One evening a week a group of doctors meet online with an experienced psychotherapist facilitator to talk about their work and their recovery journey. They are part of ‘Caduceus’ – the VDHP support group for doctors with substance use issues.
Substance abuse and dependence is a health issue. High quality treatment is available with excellent prognosis. American and Canadian figures suggest over 90% have successful outcomes and our experience over the years mirrors this.
